Can someone help me please, I'm trying to deeply understand the rythm behind the full break, in particular the one with the short walk on 6-7 to come back to hit the 8 (see the variation at 12:25). I can feel it when I follow along but would need to put counts on the entire move to really figure it out. At what time exactly are the two "jumps" (somewhere around 4 or 5, but where exactly)? Big thanks!

Why does a side pass need to be a six-count move? As a beginner, I'd prefer to focus on 8-count steps for social dancing to avoid confusing my partner with both six- and eight-count patterns.

You may want to check out a RUclips video from January, 1975. Just type in: Sonny and Cher Chattanooga Choo Choo, and be amazed! Cher, Terri Garr, Freddie Prinze and the Pointer Sisters do an awesome 1940's medley, and not only does Freddie sing and dance well, but they all do Truckin', Dig To China (um? Shorty George?), and the Suzie Q. They don't clench hands like churning butter, they kind of touch fingers in a kind of sideways "S". Looks great! 👍

@@LauraGlaess ♥️ on side note, besides shakes, who taught the move to me gave me three options of the "Frankie Break": Shakes (butt), Shimmies (shoulders) and Pecks with the free hand palm up under the head (he loved that move with head 😁😁😁). Glad to be helpful to you! 🙏😘
