Can someone help me please, I'm trying to deeply understand the rythm behind the full break, in particular the one with the short walk on 6-7 to come back to hit the 8 (see the variation at 12:25). I can feel it when I follow along but would need to put counts on the entire move to really figure it out. At what time exactly are the two "jumps" (somewhere around 4 or 5, but where exactly)? how does leader know to start with right foot?

Why does a side pass need to be a six-count move? As a beginner, I'd prefer to focus on 8-count steps for social dancing to avoid confusing my partner with both six- and eight-count patterns.

As someone who doesn't dance, or even really has the desire to learn, I can still appreciate the rhythm and coordination of it all. Listening to your examples and explanations is very interesting. You do a remarkable job.

As a trained b-boy, it does remind me of a top rock (the Indian step), though it is obviously different in style.

Cher, Terri Garr, Freddie Prinze and the Pointer Sisters do an awesome 1940's medley, and not only does Freddie sing and dance well, but they all do Truckin', Dig To China (um? Shorty George?), and the Suzie Q. They don't clench hands like churning butter, they kind of touch fingers in a kind of sideways "S". Looks great! 👍
